This is a term insurance plan. If you want your income to continue even in your absence, this plan is for you. The Aegon Life iIncome Insurance Plan not only provides your family with a lump sum but also yields a regular income in case something wrong were to happen to you

Benefits

  • Maturity Benefit
No maturity benefit payable under this plan.
  • Death Benefit
In case of unfortunate demise of the Life Assured during the policy term, the benefits payable to the nominee are:
1) 12 times of the monthly income benefit in the policy year of death will be paid as lump sum immediately plus
2) Monthly income benefit on death will commence from the next monthly policy anniversary up to the end of the policy term or for a period of 60 months, whichever is later
3) The monthly income benefit will increase by 5% p.a. on every policy anniversary up to the age of 59 years The policy will terminate after the payment of all monthly income benefits
  • Tax benefit
The Premium(s) paid by you are eligible for tax beneļ¬t available under the provisions of Section(s) 80C, 80 CCC (1), 80D, 10(10D) as applicable.
  • Accidental Death Benefit:
In case of Partial and Permanent Disability due to accident or sickness, the following benefits will be payable:
1) All future premiums will be waived
2) The monthly income for disability benefit will commence from the next monthly policy anniversary up to the date of maturity or for a period of 60 months, whichever is later.
The monthly income for disability benefit will increase by 5% p.a. on every policy anniversary up to the age of 59 years

What if?

I am unable to pay on time

  • A grace period is provided based on the payment frequency. The policy is continued if you make the payment within the time period else the policy is lapsed.

I stop the payment

  • On the completion of the grace period the policy will get lapsed and the benefits cannot be claimed on the death of the life insured.

I wish to take a loan

  • No loan options are available for this policy

Exclusions

Suicide Benefit

  • If death occurs due to suicide within 12 months from the date of commencement of risk of the Policy, the death benefit is refund of at least 80% of the premium(s) paid provided the Policy is in-force. If death occurs due to suicide within 12 months from the date of revival of the Policy, the death benefit is higher of 80% of the premiums paid till the date of death or the Surrender Value available as on the date of death.

Exclusions for Terminal Illness:

The benefit under this clause will not be payable if Terminal Illness arises directly or indirectly as a result of any one or more of the following:
  • Infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or conditions due to any Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
In case a Terminal Illness claim is not payable due to the above exclusions, the policy will continue with the applicable death cover

Exclusions for Accidental Death Benefit:

You will not be entitled to any accidental death benefit in case of accident directly or indirectly due to or caused, occasioned, accelerated or aggravated by any of the following:
  • Suicide or self-inflicted injury, whether the life assured is medically sane or insane
  • War, terrorism, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, martial law, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurper power, riot or civil commotion. War means any war whether declared or not.
  • Taking part in any naval, military or air force operation during peace time.
  • Committing an assault, a criminal offence, an illegal activity or any breach of law with criminal intent.
